Perfect location! There’s a game room and another common area where you can spend time either reading a book, working, or just about anything. Designs are a bit eccentric but very eye-catching.

Fantastic city undiscovered by Westerners. Art district is modern, fun and lively with lots of great art, restaurants, shops and even a movie theatre. Fo Guang Shan Buddhist site and museum is about a 30 minute drive out of town and has some very impressive pieces. Lotus Lake was interesting. Qijin Island was worth a visit--about a 20 minute walk then a 10 minute ferry ride.

SImple city , friendly, culvert system not good, too many motor cycles and it is dangerous for a small family riding on one bike, small kid in front, a parent driving, with older child sitting behind.

Kaohsiung is beautiful!
Kaohsiung is beautiful! There are a number of hiking trails that are easily accessible from the city. Lots of restaurant and cafe options around. More importantly though, it's the people. Taiwanese people are very friendly, respectful, soft-spoken, and generally pleasant. Will definitely go back to Taiwan.
Good value for two nights stay in Kaohsiung. Once we arrived at the hotel we asked to check the room first because my boyfriend and me had problems with smoke and dust, so the girls at the reception showed us a better room and they upgraded it for free. The room was spacious, no smell of smoke so we appreciated it. The window was not that big but quite ok for us. Just next to Formosa Boulevard MRT station nr.1exit.
Location is gd, directly in front of kaohsiung subway station. Still easily accessible, though there was some construction. Room was clean, and although not very spacious, but is manageable for a solo traveller and or for 2 pax. Surrounding has some fast food restaurants and Indonesia food just right beside the hotel. There is a free laundry at level one, which makes it perfect for me.
The Kaohsiung Grand Hotel was just like how I saw in the pictures and the room we got was beautiful too. The hotel seemed mostly empty as we hardly ever bumped into other people in the lobby or halls. We could see a nice sunset and night lights from our city-view room, with nobody else out on their balconies (maybe because everybody stayed on the lake view side?)
The location is convenient, a short walk from the Sanduo Shopping District metro station. It is also walking distance to the Glory Pier, Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal, and Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. There are restaurants and cafes near the hotel, as well as convenience stores. The AC worked well as did the Wi-Fi.
This is iconic Kaohsiung 85 Sky tower!! So good to be here
Amazing view from window
Super friendly stuff, english profficient
Everyday service room included
Heart of the city, night markets just near by
There is 7eleven on 12 floor
This is most most likely the best price to value hotel in entire Taiwan
Overall decent hotel. View from the window was nice and the bathroom was well seperated (by sliding door, no glass cubicle) and surpisingly spacious. Convenience stores as well as bike rental stations are nearby. Next Metro station (City Council Former Site) is a short walk away.
The room is a little bit small but that's enough for a guy who just come to take a rest after travelled around. And it's comfortable enough for me also. The hotel is near the center of Kaohsiung city and very closed to Liuhe Night Market. That's so great for this price.
Great location for Kaohsiung trip, very close to the station, night market and many other stores. The staffs were friendly and the room was also clean and big enough. The hotel is really good decorated/themed with baseball.
Very spacious rooms, great location near night market . Parking nearby was expensive but convenient . Hotel is on one floor of a big apartment building, good for short business travel.
