Although it is not at the center of town, it is easily accessible from town center by foot. Owned and operated by a family, Villa Gaia does give us a home-like experience. The facilities are well maintained, all clean and tidy. Our room doesn’t have the mountain view, but it’s comfy and quiet allowing us to rest comfortably after a long day’s walk. The breakfast was also great and plentiful, providing all our needs to cope with the hikes. Friendly staff answering all our questions and more, pointing us to great restaurants as well as great hiking spots of the season. Although we missed Tre Cime route due to snow-blocked passage, thanks to Villa Gaia staff, we were able to hike Cinque Torri and Cascate Fanes, and we enjoyed both walks~ We will definitely come back again!

It is horrible do NOT stay here. IT is creepy, old and looks nothing like the pictures. No extra blankets or pillows, old creaky beds and all around disgusting. We didn't even feel comfortable sitting on the furniture. Left and didn't stay here.

This is a luxury ski town.
This is a luxury ski town. If you are coming to do any casual shopping, this is not your area unless casual to you means Prada or Gucci. Also, there is virtually no apres or nightlife, however there are some really great restaurants.

A bit busy for a tourist destination, lots of heavy traffic on the main road that leads to the old city center.
Lots of places to eat and shop, but not many places to walk around, at least in the winter.

This is a great place for a ski holiday fantastic skiing and huge range of places to eat and bars and a cornucopia of high end shops to browse the mountains are divine. I am sure it would be just as goos as a walking holiday destination in spring summer and autumn. Despite the glizzy reputation there is something for everyone here and the town is a great place to wander about in.

It's a nice and quite rich village.
It's a nice and quite rich village. The city centre offers a lot of luxury shops. It's located just 20min by car to the Tres Cimes and close to the ski slopes. We went there End of October, which is in between their main seasons. A lot of bars and restaurants and even hotels were closed during this time. It's nice to explore the nature around this time, but you need to be aware that huts and a lot of facilities are closed.

I'd like to start the review with recognizing the staff at this hotel. From check-in to checkout, the staff exceeded expectations. We started our stay meeting Kat at the front desk who quickly checked us in and walked us to our room. Kat was super friendly and professional. Kat answered questions for us about the area. Roberto was also very helpful.
This hotel is very unique in all the right ways. The décor adds to the charm of your stay and the room had a modern feel to it.
The property is beautiful with exceptional views of the surrounding Dolomite mountains. The hotel staff was just as exceptional, proving a delicious breakfast every morning and even packing us a special “to go” breakfast on our final day since we had to catch an early flight in Venice. Every single person that we encountered that worked at the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Thank you to the waitresses, maids and front desk staff. You are the best!!
There are lot of choices for breakfast, it was very good. Rooms are spacious, warm and very clean. The whole hotel breathes with very friendly atmosphere which makes the staying there truly enjoyable. There is a huge bar where you can sit with your friends and enjoy the evening or afternoon. People are very friendly and helpful, especially Jacopo, the receptionist who was on duty when we arrived. A kind of host that really makes you feel welcome.
Quiet and clean. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I selected to book on this hotel based on the excellent review, and what I found is even better. I like the focus on the details since the first moment of our arrival, everyone is welcoming us with big smile and offering help and sharing information about the city and areas to visit. Last but not least, I love the give away gift we were given by the hotel 😊
Free breakfast at the hotel was very nice, the rooms were cleaned daily and left in very good condition. The hotel was also very cozy, perfect to lie down for a while after a full day of skiing. The staff was also super friendly and accomodated any additional requests such as providing rooms with queen beds or double twin beds and providing multiple keys to the rooms. The balcony view was also stunning.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Corona for four nights in September. It was a great stay. This is a family owned and operated hotel, which gives it a personal feel. Steve, Mary and Ferdi were fantastic hosts, always willing to help and be helpful. Steve’s recommendations for local activities were great.
Pros: Beautiful hotel, beautiful views from the spacious room, good breakfast, great hospitality
Cosy, family run hotel. Our room with a view toward thw mountain had beautiful wooden panelling and a modern bathroom. Common areas are decorated with great attention to detail. This isn't the hotel with the plastic bouquets but with a curated collection of objects from traditional alpine life, a lounge with an open fireplace, and importantly great breakfast and dinner options.
Super helpful and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for better Service. Extensive breakfast buffet.
Walk into the city takes about 20min.
Bus station right infront of the Hotel.
Free parking infront of the Hotel.
Room to lock away ski equipment.
Fresh towels and clean rooms every day.
The hotel is centrally located. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the ski lifts which is great for those skiiing. The breakfast was excellent and no buffet in sight! We ate dinner in the restaurant which was also excellent. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly.
Friendly owners always trying to make you feel at home. Breakfast is outstanding, fresh delicious bakery, great coffee (Gracie mille ;-) ). Location, 5 minute walk to Cortina center, 20 minute drive to most popular hikes. Large supermarket right in front of hotel.
Decent breakfast, yet in the regular zone, nothing to remember.
Very good dinner, which îs something you expect when in Italy.
Location îs very good - very quiet and not far from the center. The views of the mountains from the hotel are something to remember.
We loved our stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived the staff was incredible. Our room was amazing and the view from our balcony even better. The staff even took the time to give us several food and drink recommendations near by which were perfect!
The hotel was good and spacious, lot's of room in the bedroom and also in the hotel itself. The staff was very kind, especially miss Maria Teresa which was responsible for the dining room and breakfast room, she was the sweetest!
great location right in the center of Cortina (only 5 min. walk from bus station). Hotel was charming and stylish! Staff was very friendly, we enjoyed our stay!
